Separate Loose Plus is a Blender add-on by RobbieK for working with objects that contain multiple loose meshes. When you want to edit one loose mesh without disturbing the others, the add-on combines the separation and editing steps: link select the mesh you want, then choose Mesh → Separate Loose Plus → Separate and Edit to begin editing that mesh as a separate object right away.
When your edits are finished, Mesh → Separate Loose Plus → Merge Back to Object returns everything to a single object with your changes intact. The add-on handles this round trip, so you skip the usual routine of separating by selection, entering the new object, then reselecting and merging both objects manually.
The developer suggests remapping shortcuts to speed the workflow — for example assigning Separate and Edit to 'P', the native separation tool to 'Alt+P', and Merge Back to Object to 'Ctrl+J'. The add-on is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer, requires no special permissions, and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
