Lazy Weight Tool is a Blender add-on built around editing and assigning weights during weight painting. Its Weight Table shows vertex weights and assigned vertex groups so you can view and edit them directly, highlight a specified value by Match, More, or Less, and optionally display vertex index on the mesh. Note that adjusting a value in the table alone does not trigger automatic normalization.
Weight setting covers Flood weight and fixed numbers such as 1.0, 0.9, 0.75, 0.5, 0.25, 0.1, and 0.0, assigning values for the current brush settings and normalizing all at runtime. Weight Copy/Paste copies the weights of selected vertices to the clipboard and pastes them into another mesh or object, and an Adjust Weight Gesture sets weight by moving the mouse with Shift + Alt + F.
Selection stays fluid in weight paint mode, with loop and shortest path selection by clicking as in mesh editing, plus select more, select less, and multi loop. It also adds a Weight Transfer menu, a mini brush setting menu, and a 3-column vertex group panel with regular expressions. It supports Blender 2.79 through 5.1, and a demo video is available.
