Link Curve earns its spot in the superhive library by turning geometry nodes into a curve-driven workflow for chains, tracks, tires, and other repeating or deformable shapes. It sits at rank 739 on superhive, and a demo video is available.
Link Curve is a Blender add-on built on geometry nodes that places segments along a curve, either without deformation or with controlled deformation of the segment. Its functions cover connecting objects to the curve with quantity control, alternation, position, global scale and rotation, instance or no-instance placement, and scale object.
The add-on is aimed at building chains, tank tracks, corrugations, complex cylindrical parts without cylinders, flexible shapes, and tires, and it can create a mesh during deformation using geometric primitives. An object rotation function lets you place two segments on the same positions with different pivot points, while a constraints function restores the correct mapping of geometry that should not be deformed.
Deformation of geonode primitives keeps permanent access to the segmentation setting and can be reused on an object after application, with a deformation limit available in edit mode. The duplicate deform function handles directed deformation by adding duplicates of the deformed object. Version 1.2.0 makes the profile work in 2D and adds a panel to disable warp center locking.
Link Curve is best for creating chains, tank tracks, tires, corrugations, flexible shapes, and cylindrical parts along curves in Blender.
Link Curve is completely free to download and use.
Link Curve is built on Blender's geometry nodes, so its curve and deformation behaviour runs through a geonode-based system. It distributes segments along a curve with quantity control, alternation, position, global scale and rotation, and instance or no-instance placement. Because it uses geometry nodes, functions such as segment deformation and geonode primitives keep permanent access to the segmentation setting, and deformation can be reused on an object after application. Check the developer's page for the exact Blender versions supported.
Link Curve can deform two connected objects at the same time, a capability expanded in update 1.1.2 alongside broader axis control. An object that already carries a deformation is embedded into the deformation segment when it is connected. The add-on also includes a constraints function to restore the correct mapping of geometry that should not be deformed. For directed deformation, the duplicate deform function adds duplicates of the deformed object.
Link Curve version 1.2.0 updated the profile functions so the profile now works in 2D, added a panel to disable warp center locking, and included bug fixes. Earlier updates built up the deformation system: version 1.1.6 improved combined work and synchronised the geoprimitive panel with the Progeoprim add-on, version 1.1.4 introduced duplicate deform, and version 1.1.2 greatly improved the deform system, expanded axis control, and added geonode primitives for working with deformation. See the developer's page for full release notes.
Link Curve is listed as free in this catalog. Pricing and licensing can change over time, so check the developer's page for the current terms before you download. The add-on is built on Blender geometry nodes and is distributed by Vovrzull, who also offers related curve tools. For the latest information on availability and any bundle options, the developer's store page and the linked YouTube tutorials are the best places to confirm current details.
