Mio3 Copy Weight earns its place in the blender_extensions library for extending per-vertex weight copying beyond a single object, a task the standard tools keep within one mesh.
Mio3 Copy Weight is a Blender add-on from developer mio that handles per-vertex weight copying across objects. Weight copying on a per-vertex basis is usually only possible within the same object, but this add-on lets you copy weights between different objects. It works the same way as the standard weight copy feature, transferring the weight of the last selected vertex to the other selected vertices.
The add-on is intended for use alongside the standard weight panel, and it can also run as a standalone panel with a minimal interface that includes a standard normalization button. You'll find it under View 3D > Sidebar > Item Tab > Mio3 Copy Weight. It requires no special permissions, is compatible with Blender 5.0 and newer, and is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
Version 1.1.0 added an option to select a subset. The add-on carries a rating from four reviews and sits at rank 204 in the blender_extensions library.
