Face2Face
by Neo Lekker

Mirror/Chop stands out for combining two edit-mode operations in one panel: mirroring across any plane and chopping along a defined plane or three points. It targets Blender 4.2 through 5.0 under a GPL license.
Mirror/Chop is an add-on from Tiemen's addons that works inside Blender's edit mode. Once installed through the preferences menu, it adds a Chop and Mirror menu to the Edit section of the side panel, which appears only while you are in edit mode.
For chopping, you select three vertices or a plane to define the chop plane, then press chop. A pop-up menu lets you swap the cut side, close or open the cut plane, limit the cut to the object connected to the chop plane or apply it to all meshes in the scene, and move the chop plane along its normal.
The mirror function reflects a linked mesh across a chosen plane, and any plane on a mesh can serve as the mirror. To mirror other mesh objects, you select them first and then the mirror plane. Options include merging vertices where the mirrored object connects to the original, removing inner faces, and swapping X and Y to change the mirrored object's direction. Documentation is available, and a demo video covers the workflow.
Mirror/Chop is best for blender artists modifying meshes in edit mode through plane-based mirroring and chopping.
Mirror/Chop is completely free to download and use.
Mirror/Chop lists support for Blender versions 4.2 through 5.0, so it should load in current 4.x releases and the 5.0 line. It installs through Blender's preferences menu, and once enabled its tools live in a Chop and Mirror menu that appears in the Edit section of the side panel while you work in edit mode. If you run a version outside that range, check the developer's page before installing to confirm compatibility.
Mirror/Chop is installed the same way as most Blender add-ons: download the file and enable it from the preferences menu. After installation, a Chop and Mirror menu is added to the Edit section of the side panel. This menu only appears when you are in edit mode, and it shows two buttons, with a third available when scale is off and the object is not applied. From there you can reach the chop and mirror operations.
Mirror/Chop cuts a mesh using a chop plane you define in edit mode. You select three vertices or a plane to set that plane, then press chop. A pop-up menu then lets you swap which half is kept, open or close the cut plane, restrict the cut to the object connected to the chop plane or apply it to all meshes in the scene, and move the chop plane along its normal direction. A demo video is available covering the process.
Mirror/Chop mirrors a linked mesh across a plane you choose, and any plane on a mesh can act as the mirror. If you want to mirror other mesh objects too, you select them first and then pick the mirror plane. The add-on can merge vertices where the mirrored object connects to the original, remove faces that end up inside, and swap X and Y to change the direction of the mirrored object.
Mirror/Chop is listed as free in this catalog and is distributed under the GPL license. Licensing terms can change, so check the developer's page for the current details before you rely on it. The add-on comes from Tiemen's addons and includes documentation, along with a demo video, to help you get started with the chop and mirror tools inside Blender's edit mode.
