Mocap Bone Lock is a Blender add-on that locks bones over time, built to make motion-capture cleanup fast, predictable and editable. It targets foot and hand sliding after retargeting, and its non-destructive NLA workflow keeps the original motion preserved and every lock fully reversible without requiring deep NLA knowledge. It works on long mocap clips and scales to hundreds or thousands of frames.
The add-on offers two locking methods. Manual Mode lets you select bones, set a frame range and fade, adjust placement with a movable Empty, then bake. Auto Mode is foot-optimized and detects contact using an adjustable threshold, with two detection types: Dip Detect, the default, based on bone position on the Z axis and suited to flat surfaces, and Velocity Detect, an experimental option based on movement speed that can be applied to any bone. Both modes share Frame Lock Range and Fade In / Fade Out controls, and you can preview placement before baking.
Mocap Bone Lock is optimized for IK bones, while manual mode also works for hands and other bones. It's been tested on Blender 4.2, 4.5 and 5.0, and ships under the GPL license. Update 1.1 added compatibility with AutoRigPro and similar rigs.
