Motion Style earns its place in the blender_extensions library as a small, focused Graph Editor enhancement that ports the AE speed curve approach to Blender, licensed under GPL v3.0 or later.
Motion Style is a Blender add-on from Willy_Work that carries the After Effects Speed Curve workflow into Blender's Graph Editor. It adds an AE-style visual speed curve, minimalist easing sliders and one-click interpolation, giving animators a familiar way to handle keyframe easing and speed.
The add-on is built to simplify the keyframe adjustment process, whether the work is motion graphics, character animation or hard-surface mechanical movement. It installs as a lightweight extension at 6.3 KB and requires no special permissions, and its speed curve tools sit directly in the Graph Editor.
Version 1.0.2 adds full English localization across UI properties, button descriptions and tooltips, plus a performance change: the background graphics draw handler is now dynamically registered and only consumes resources when the Enable Speed Curve option is turned on, reducing idle memory use. A bug fix resolves a script reloading traceback tied to an unimported module. Motion Style is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
Motion Style is best for blender animators adjusting keyframes for motion graphics, character animation or hard-surface mechanical movement who want an After Effects-style speed curve workflow.
Motion Style is completely free to download and use.
Motion Style is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer, so any release from 4.2 onward should run it. The add-on works inside Blender's Graph Editor, bringing the After Effects-style Speed Curve workflow, including the visual speed curve, easing sliders and one-click interpolation, into that editor. If you are on an older Blender build, you would need to update to at least 4.2 before installing. For the exact supported versions, check the developer's GitHub page before you set it up.
Motion Style installs like a standard Blender extension. You can drag and drop the downloaded add-on file directly into Blender, or use the Install from Disk option in Blender's extension preferences. At 6.3 KB the package is small, so the process is quick, and it requires no special permissions to run. Once enabled, its speed curve tools appear in the Graph Editor. For step-by-step guidance and the latest download, refer to the developer's GitHub repository.
Motion Style is listed as free here and is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, which lets you use, study and modify the add-on within its terms. Because licensing and distribution details can change over time, it is worth confirming the current terms on the developer's GitHub page before you rely on it for a project. The extension also requires no special permissions, so it does not request extra access when installed in Blender.
Motion Style 1.0.2 brings three changes. First, full English localization translates the UI properties, button descriptions and tooltips into standard English. Second, a performance optimization: the background graphics draw handler is now dynamically registered, so it only consumes resources when the Enable Speed Curve option is toggled on, reducing idle memory use. Third, a bug fix resolves a script reloading traceback during initialization that was caused by an unimported module. These updates refine the existing add-on for the Blender 4.2 LTS and newer line.
