Why we like it

ProFlow stands out in the Superhive library for pairing a straightforward three-step workflow with tools for building and managing your own assets. Support is handled per customer, and group buys aren't supported.

What is Proflow?

ProFlow adds floaters to objects in Blender, covering welds, custom assets, moldings and similar details. The workflow follows three steps: choose an asset from the library, select the object you want to place it on, then pick the tool you'll use.

Beyond placement, ProFlow can add assets at the intersection of several objects and set up assets for predictable results. You can replace assets with others from the library or the scene, cut an asset with the Cut tool, and extract edges from objects to use them. It also lets you create your own assets and add them to the Asset Management, use assets from your scene, and create and use collection instances, along with transfer assets and conversion with random values.

The add-on ships as a single Blender script bundled with a set of assets, and it's released under the GPL license. Installation runs through Blender's add-on preferences using Install from Files, after which ProFlow lives in the Property panel opened with the N key in the 3D view. A demo video is available for a closer look.

Who is Proflow best for?

Proflow is best for blender artists placing floaters like welds, moldings and custom assets onto objects, and managing their own asset library.

Frequently asked questions

What Blender versions does ProFlow support?

ProFlow lists Blender version support ranging from 2.9 to 5.1, and the add-on was built for Blender 2.82. Because compatibility can shift across Blender releases, checking the developer's page before installing is the safest way to confirm your exact version is covered. The download includes a single Blender script bundled with a set of assets, so you get the tool and starter content together once it's installed and activated in your preferences.

How do I install ProFlow in Blender?

Installing ProFlow follows Blender's standard add-on process: open the user preferences, go to the Add-ons section, click Install from Files, then select the add-on ZIP and activate it. Once enabled, ProFlow lives in the Property panel, which you open by pressing N in the 3D viewport. From there you follow the three-step workflow: pick an asset from the library, select the object to place it on, and choose the tool you want to use.

Is ProFlow free to use?

ProFlow is listed as free here in our catalog, though licensing options can change. The add-on is released under the GPL license, and support is provided per customer, with group buys not supported. For current terms and to grab the download along with its bundled assets, head to the developer's page, where you'll find the most up-to-date licensing details straight from Pitiwazou.

Can ProFlow place assets where objects meet?

ProFlow can add assets at the intersection of several objects, which is part of its placement toolset. It also lets you set up assets for predictable results, replace assets with others from the library or the scene, cut an asset with the Cut tool, and extract edges from objects to use them. Beyond that, you can build your own assets, add them to the Asset Management, use assets from your scene, and create collection instances.
