Render Subcollections earns its place for automating a repetitive task: activating each subcollection, rendering its cameras, and deactivating it, so multi-shot scenes render without manual toggling. At version 1.0.1 and just a few kilobytes, it stays narrowly focused on that single workflow.
Render Subcollections is a Blender add-on by Nico-Peters for rendering multiple subcollections one after another. You select subcollections in your scene tree, and for each one the add-on activates it, renders the camera or cameras inside, then deactivates it again before moving to the next.
Setup starts by selecting your Main Collection in the panel, after which your subcollections are listed for you to check which should be rendered. Naming is entirely up to you. The workflow suits scenes that hold many separate camera shots, where each shot has its own camera and related objects grouped in a subcollection.
The add-on is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer and requires no special permissions. It is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. Version 1.0.1 is the current release, and a demo is available on the developer's page.
