Polymating is a retopology addon for Blender built around real-time vertex projection. It uses a fast projection system similar to Shrinkwrap that is continuously re-applied in the background, so you can focus on quad flow while Polymating handles the wrapping. It integrates with Blender's existing tools rather than replacing them.
Projection runs on solver-based logic, including Force Project and Raycast with Multi-hit integrated. Vertex Locking is available as an experimental feature, alongside global overlay controls and cache and performance optimizations for smooth interaction. Projection skips hidden vertices, respects masks made in Sculpt mode, and respects existing shapekeys. When no reference object is set, it can use the active object as the reference for self projection, and collections can be used as references across all solvers.
Recent updates extend vertex group locking to read multiple lock groups and make locking more aggressive, so it is no longer bypassed by the nearest solver and persists through solver changes. The menu can be called through search, the View 3D panel can be hidden through preferences, and localization for Simplified Chinese and Indonesian is included.
