Simply Wrap Pro earns its place in the superhive library for turning mesh wrapping into a drawing task, with the developer reporting more than 50% time saved over the manual shrinkwrap-and-curve method. It sits around rank 128 on superhive.
Simply Wrap Pro adds a drawing-based workflow for wrapping meshes and curves around objects and characters in Blender. Select a collision object and start drawing over it. You can draw in a zigzag pattern from a single view across both sides of the object, and the add-on detects the orientation of the faces on its own, so there's no need to keep rotating the view.
The resulting wrap may still need some cleanup, such as releasing intersections and editing certain sections, but the developer reports saving more than 50% of the time compared with the older approach of a shrinkwrap, an extruded curve and the Proportional Edit tool. For a fluid look, a low-resolution collision mesh is recommended, and the add-on works best with a single object in the scene. A base wrap can be refined afterward with Cloth Sculpt Brushes.
Simply Wrap Pro was created by Vjaceslav Tissen and programmed by Alberto Gonzalez (AFX). The interface is English only. Documentation is available, and after installing you should restart Blender and leave the downloaded file zipped.
Simply Wrap Pro is best for blender artists who need to wrap meshes or curves around objects and characters by drawing rather than building them manually.
Simply Wrap Pro is completely free to download and use.
Simply Wrap Pro is recommended for use with Blender 3.0 and higher, together with the Asset Browser. That's the setup the developer suggests for the add-on. If you're on an earlier Blender release, it's worth checking the included documentation or contacting the developer through the listed email or Discord before building it into a project, since compatibility outside the recommended range isn't stated on the developer's page.
Simply Wrap Pro installs like a standard Blender add-on, with two specifics called out by the developer: restart Blender once the add-on is installed, and do not unzip the downloaded file before installing it. Documentation is available if you need a fuller walkthrough, and support is offered directly by the developer over email or Discord if something isn't working as shown in the demo video.
Simply Wrap Pro is available in English only and does not support other languages, according to the developer. The workflow itself is drawing-based, so much of the interaction is done directly in the viewport by drawing over a collision object rather than through text menus. If you need help understanding the workflow, the developer offers support in English, German and Russian through the listed email and Discord.
Simply Wrap Pro is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing and any paid variants can change over time, so check the developer's page for the current terms before you download. The add-on itself covers the drawing-based wrapping workflow, comes with documentation, and includes direct support from the developer through the listed email and Discord if you run into trouble. A demo video is also available.
