Earns its place by bringing numerical, per-bone weight editing to Blender alongside the standard weight-painting tools. The developer rebuilt the workflow from a plugin they originally created for Maya.
Vertex Skin Weights is a Blender addon that gives direct numerical control over vertex weights. It works as a complement to Blender's standard weight painting: painting handles broad weight distribution, while this tool covers precise fine-tuning and detail work on areas like joints and facial features. With a vertex selection active, you can adjust weight values for any number of bones at once, on a single vertex or across many.
A real-time bones list shows which bones are influencing your selected vertices and by how much as you make selections. For multiple vertex selections, it displays the average weights across the selection.
Editing tools include Hammer Weights for smoothing and normalizing using neighboring vertices, Precision Weight Editing for exact values, Quick Weight Nudging with automatic redistribution, and Smart Copy/Paste between vertices. The developer rebuilt the workflow from a plugin originally created for Maya, and a YouTube tutorial playlist and Discord community are available.
Vertex Skin Weights is best for character artists, riggers, animators and game developers working on skinning and weight editing in Blender.
Vertex Skin Weights is completely free to download and use.
Vertex Skin Weights supports Blender 4.2 and later through its versions 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0. For older setups, versions 2.7, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 run on Blender 3 and up as the core tool, though these builds do not include all of the latest features. If you are on a recent Blender release, choosing the 4.2+ line gives you the full current feature set, while earlier Blender users can still access the core weight-editing workflow with the matching version.
Vertex Skin Weights includes Multi-Bone Editing, which lets you select any number of bones from its list and adjust their weights simultaneously. You can work on a single vertex or fine-tune several vertices at the same time, setting exact values through Precision Weight Editing by button click or custom input. Quick Weight Nudging incrementally raises or lowers weights with automatic redistribution that maintains weight balance, and Smart Copy/Paste lets you copy weights from one vertex and paste them to many.
Vertex Skin Weights is listed as free in this catalog. For current licensing details and any terms tied to specific versions, check the developer's page. The addon gives direct numerical control over vertex weights and works alongside Blender's standard weight painting rather than replacing it, so you can combine broad weight-painting strokes with precise per-bone value editing. Support and feature requests are handled through the developer's Discord community.
Vertex Skin Weights has a YouTube playlist of tutorial videos covering how to use the addon, and a demo video is also available. For further support or feature requests, the developer offers a Discord community to join. The tool is designed as a simple workflow to learn while still giving detailed control, using a real-time bones list that shows which bones influence your selected vertices and by how much as you make selections.

Greeble Bake is a Blender add-on for baking geometry details into texture maps. It creates normal, AO and depth maps using a primitive plane as a canvas, and works with Random Flow or independently.

by Salt Media
BlenderAe2 by Salt Media transfers 3D data and objects between Blender and After Effects in both directions, covering vertices, 3D layer transforms, camera data and layer synchronization.

by MACHIN3
Machin3Tools is a continuously evolving collection of tools and pie menus for Blender, gathered in a single customizable package. It ships in two base variants, Prime and DeusEx, with the DeusEx variant adding more advanced tools.

UVPackmaster 4 is a UV packing engine for Blender that packs UV maps on the CPU and GPU, using the Cuda and Vulkan APIs, and can run on the CPU and all system GPUs at once.

by MMD
MMD Tools is a Blender add-on for editing MikuMikuDance (MMD) models. It handles importing and exporting model, motion and pose data, along with chopping and joining parts, plus rigid body, material and motion editing.
