CloudRig is a rig generation add-on for Blender, developed by Blender Studio for its Open Movies, starting with CoffeeRun in 2020. It creates helper bones, constraints, and drivers for you based on basic inputs, which are provided through a simple armature called a Metarig.
Alongside generation, CloudRig ships optional workflow enhancements such as various pie menus and improved operators. It works through component types including Chain: Toon, Chain: Layered, Shoulder, and Curve: IK, plus a Component Instance type that lets a bone chain act as if it shared another chain's component type and parameters, with optional mirroring.
The add-on is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and is compatible with Blender 5.0, though it is listed as unsupported on version 6.0 and above. It requests permission to load widgets, metarigs, and preferences from disk, and to copy and paste Bone Collections between armatures.
