A compact add-on at 3.5 KB that covers both view-relative and object-relative transform copying, with independent control over Location, Rotation, and Scale.
Copy Relative Transform adds a way to store and restore object transforms in Blender, working either screen-relative or object-relative. In screen-relative mode, it requires one selected object and restores the stored transform relative to the current viewport or camera view. In object-relative mode, it requires two selected objects: you select the reference object, then Shift-select the active object that receives the transform, and it restores that active object using the stored offset relative to the reference.
In both modes, Location, Rotation, and Scale can be enabled independently, so you choose which components are applied. The developer lists it as suited to matching the first and last frame of a moving camera shot for looping animations, reproducing the same lighting setup across similar objects with different orientations, and avoiding constraints and influence-slider tweaking.
The add-on is reached through Viewport → Object → Relative Transform, or through the right-click menu under Relative Transform. It requires no special permissions and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
Copy Relative Transform is best for blender users matching camera first and last frames for looping animations, reproducing lighting setups across similarly shaped objects, or avoiding constraints and influence-slider tweaking.
Copy Relative Transform is completely free to download and use.
Copy Relative Transform is listed as compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer. If you are on that release or a later version, the add-on should install and run as intended. On earlier Blender versions it is not listed as supported, so check your Blender version before installing. The current release is version 0.1.0, published in May 2026, and further compatibility details can be confirmed on the developer's page.
Copy Relative Transform's object-relative mode requires two selected objects. You first select the reference object, then Shift-select the active object, which is the one receiving the transform. The add-on then restores the active object using the stored offset relative to the reference object. As with screen-relative mode, Location, Rotation, and Scale can each be enabled independently, so you decide which components of the transform are applied to the active object.
Copy Relative Transform is reached in two places in Blender. You can open it from the viewport under Object → Relative Transform, or from the right-click menu, where it also appears as Relative Transform. From there you access the screen-relative and object-relative operations and choose whether Location, Rotation, and Scale are enabled. The add-on installs by dragging and dropping into Blender or by installing from disk, and it requires no special permissions.
Copy Relative Transform is listed as free in this catalog and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. That license governs how you may use, modify, and redistribute the add-on. For the current licensing terms and any updates, refer to the developer's page. The extension requires no special permissions, and issues can be reported through the developer's Discord linked on that page.
