Dimensions in Edit Mode brings the dimensions readout into Blender's edit mode. It lets you preview and edit the dimensions of the currently selected geometry, matching the behaviour that Blender already offers in object mode.
Matikos built the add-on to look and feel as close to a native UI element as possible. It works with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer, requires no special permissions, and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. The current release is version 1.0.1, with no changelog noted for this update.
Within the Blender extensions library, Dimensions in Edit Mode sits in the Modeling and Mesh category and holds a popularity rank of 625. One open issue on the developer's tracker reports a crash when using Ctrl A scale with the skin modifier, so keep that in mind if your workflow relies on that combination.
