Documentation is offered in both English and Español, and version 1.2.0 focused on redesigning the object panel and adding external-rig visibility controls.
Dynamic List Manager is an add-on for Blender that manages the visibility of mesh objects by organizing them into Groups. Each group represents a visual state of a character, asset, or scene, and changing the active group makes that group's objects visible while all others are hidden. The Group value is an animatable integer, so keyframing it on the timeline animates the entire visibility system from a single control.
The add-on automatically discovers primary and secondary rigs in complex hierarchies and presents bone collections in an expandable, collapsible tree UI. It supports bone sub-collections within its panel and applies rig implementation non-destructively. Version 1.2.0 redesigned the object panel to handle large numbers of objects, gave Shape Key and Custom Properties entries their own drop-down panels, and added tools for pulling an object from another group and toggling external rig visibility.
The add-on is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. Documentation is available in English and Español, and issues can be reported on the developer's GitHub repository.
Dynamic List Manager is best for blender artists managing the visibility of grouped meshes and rigs across animatable visual states.
Dynamic List Manager is completely free to download and use.
Dynamic List Manager is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer. The developer's page also notes Blender 4.0+ compatibility, so check the official GitHub repository and the extension listing for the most current details before installing. Because it ships as a standard add-on, it enables through Blender's Add-ons preferences once installed, and the extension can be added by dragging and dropping into Blender or installing from disk.
Dynamic List Manager can be added by dragging and dropping it into Blender, or by downloading the .zip release and installing from disk. To install from disk, go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons, click Install, select the downloaded file, then enable the add-on. After that, select an armature or a mesh with an armature modifier, create a group, and assign your selected meshes to begin using it.
Dynamic List Manager treats the Group as an animatable integer, so keyframing the group index on the timeline animates the entire visibility system. Changing the active group makes that group's objects visible while hiding all others. In the basic workflow you add a group as a new animation state, assign selected meshes to it, configure bone collections and visibility per state, then animate the group index to transition visibility changes.
Dynamic List Manager is listed as free here and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. For current licensing terms and any updates, refer to the developer's GitHub repository. The extension does not require special permissions. If you run into problems, the developer asks that you report them through GitHub Issues rather than reviews, where bugs, feature requests, and suggestions can be submitted.
