Surface Follow Addon
by The 3D Advantage
Surface Follow Addon binds meshes to the surface of other meshes in Blender. It works similarly to the surface deform modifier but a little differently, binding faster on large meshes without convex errors.

EZdepth earns its spot for wrapping Meta's Depth Anything Small model into a one-click Blender workflow, with three ways to apply the result and support spanning Blender 2.93 through 4.4.
EZdepth is an AI depth map generator for Blender that converts a 2D image into a 3D surface. You pick a photo — a portrait, object, or environment — and the add-on produces a depth map in a single click. It runs Meta's Depth Anything Small ONNX model, which the developer notes delivers sharper, cleaner results.
The generated depth can be applied three ways: as a geometry-based displacement modifier, as a full shader displacement setup for Cycles, or as a standalone grayscale depth image. A subdivision toggle switches between Simple and Catmull-Clark, and a displacement coordinate switch offers UV, Local, or Global. A bump map drawn from the original image adds surface detail, and shader mode layers real displacement with that bump.
Auto-generated shader nodes arrive with Texture Coordinate and Mapping, and a Bake Shader Displacement option converts the shader path into true geometry. The add-on appears as an EZdepth panel in Blender and works across Blender 2.93 through 4.4, with Cycles and Eevee as supported render engines. An Open How-To Guide button links a YouTube tutorial.
Ezdepth - Ai Depth Map Generator is best for blender artists turning 2D photos — portraits, objects, or environments — into 3D surfaces and depth maps.
Ezdepth - Ai Depth Map Generator is completely free to download and use.
EZdepth runs in Blender 2.93 and every release up to 4.4, covering the 3.x series and 4.0 through 4.4. That range spans older projects still on 2.93 and current builds, so you can install it alongside whichever version you keep for a given project. Its displacement output works with Cycles and Eevee, though the full shader displacement setup is Cycles only. Check the developer's page for the latest compatibility details before installing.
EZdepth lists both Cycles and Eevee as supported render engines, so the depth map and displacement modifier work in either. The full shader displacement setup, however, is Cycles only, since it relies on real shader displacement with bump layering for surface detail. If you work in Eevee, the geometry-based displacement modifier and the standalone grayscale depth image remain available. For true geometry from the shader path, the Bake Shader Displacement option converts it in Cycles.
EZdepth ships with depth_exe_main.exe, which runs the ONNX model, and depth_anything_small.onnx, Meta's Depth Anything Small model behind the depth generation. It also includes the full Blender panel that appears under the EZdepth tab, along with README.md and LICENSE.txt. Inside the panel, an Open How-To Guide button opens a YouTube tutorial. Review those included resources on the developer's page before generating your first depth map.
EZdepth generates depth from an image using Meta's Depth Anything Small ONNX model, which the developer notes delivers sharper, cleaner results. You select a photo, such as a portrait, object, or environment, and produce a depth map in one click. From there you can apply it as a geometry-based displacement modifier, a full shader displacement setup, or a standalone grayscale depth image. A subdivision toggle and a displacement coordinate switch give control over how the surface is built.
EZdepth is listed as free here in the catalog, and it's distributed under the GPL license. Licensing terms can change, so check the developer's page for the current details before you download. The add-on is credited to Dinis Pereira, and the panel includes a creator store shortcut that links to more tools from the same developer if you want to explore related add-ons.
