Gizmo Resizer earns its place in the Blender extensions library for a focused convenience: on-the-fly gizmo resizing from the Numpad, backed by a configurable HUD and automatic keymap handling.
Gizmo Resizer is a Blender add-on that changes the size of the viewport gizmo directly with the Numpad. Press Numpad + and Numpad - to grow or shrink the manipulator immediately, bringing that Maya-style resizing workflow into Blender without opening preferences each time.
While resizing, a minimalist text overlay shows the current size and disappears on its own. Hold Shift with the Numpad to adjust the resize step, and use Alt with the Numpad for viewport zoom. The add-on manages keymap conflicts automatically. In the extension preferences you can set the HUD position to top, bottom, or center, along with the font size, color theme, and how long the display stays on screen.
Gizmo Resizer runs on Blender 4.2 LTS and newer and requires no special permissions. It is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. Version 2.3.0 refined the draw handler so the overlay is only active when you trigger the operator, using no resources when the tool is not in use.
Gizmo Resizer is best for blender users, especially those coming from Maya, who want to resize the viewport gizmo on the fly with the Numpad.
Gizmo Resizer is completely free to download and use.
Gizmo Resizer is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer, so it runs on current 4.2 releases and later versions. It is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and requires no special permissions to run. You can add it by dragging and dropping the add-on into Blender, or by downloading it and installing from disk through the extensions preferences. If you use an older Blender build, check the developer's page for version details before installing.
Gizmo Resizer maps its actions to the Numpad. Numpad + and Numpad - grow or shrink the viewport gizmo immediately, while holding Shift with the Numpad changes the resize step to adjust sensitivity. Alt with the Numpad is set for viewport zoom. The add-on also handles keymap conflicts automatically, so its shortcuts coexist with Blender's existing bindings. These defaults let you resize the manipulator without opening preferences each time you need a different gizmo size.
Gizmo Resizer includes a minimalist text overlay that shows the current gizmo size and disappears on its own. In the extension preferences you can set the HUD position to top, bottom, or center, along with the font size, color theme, and how long the display stays visible. As of version 2.3.0, the draw handler behind the overlay is only active when you trigger the operator, so it uses no resources when the tool is not in use.
Gizmo Resizer is listed as free here in the catalog, and it is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. The add-on requires no special permissions. For the most current licensing terms and any usage conditions, check the developer's page. You can get it by dragging and dropping the add-on into Blender, or by downloading the file and installing it from disk through the extensions preferences.
