HUE is a Blender add-on built to make working with vertex colors easier. It lets you preview vertex colors, including alpha, from both object and edit modes, and groups its painting tools into a panel you open from the side of the viewport with the N key.
The tool set covers fill, randomize, a gradient generator, smooth, and color by selection, with full edit-mode selection support so you can paint only selected points, edges, or faces. A palette system with customizable swatches is shared across the tools, and addon preferences let you set startup defaults for every tool.
RGBA color masking lets you modify only the channels you need. Using the affected channels setting, you can leave a single channel on so only its values change while the others stay untouched, which is useful when different channels store different information for use in shaders. HUE supports editing different color attributes and works with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer.
