At 6.6 KB, MarkCam stays lightweight, and version 2.5.0 brings full compatibility with Blender 5.0 and newer, where the add-on now lives in the Dope Sheet Editor after the Timeline Editor was removed.
MarkCam is a lightweight toolset for creating and managing camera-bound timeline markers in Blender. It adds actions to the Timeline header and a management panel in the Timeline's N-panel. Clicking the camera icon binds the active camera to a marker at the current frame. Shift-clicking creates a new camera from the current 3D view without a marker, while Ctrl-clicking creates a camera from the view and binds it to a marker. The X button removes markers at the current frame without deleting camera objects, and Ctrl-clicking it removes all timeline markers after a confirmation.
Version 2 introduced the Camera Ranges panel in the Timeline N-panel, which shows only cameras that have a camera-bound marker. It lists each camera with inline renaming, an editable Start value that live-moves the marker, an auto-computed End reaching up to the next camera's start or the scene end, and a Select/Jump control that selects the camera and moves the playhead to its start. A Refresh button sorts by start, fixes overlaps, and rewrites the camera schedule so ranges don't collide.
MarkCam works only in the Timeline mode of the Dope Sheet, using click, shift-click, and ctrl-click rather than menus.
MarkCam is best for blender users who set up multiple cameras and want to bind them to timeline markers and manage their frame ranges from the Dope Sheet.

MarkCam is fully compatible with Blender 5.0 and newer as of version 2.5.0. Because the Timeline Editor no longer exists in these versions, the add-on was moved to the Dope Sheet Editor, which is open by default instead of the old timeline. MarkCam operates specifically in the Timeline mode of the Dope Sheet, so its header actions and the Camera Ranges panel appear there. If you are on Blender 5.0 or later, you will find the tools in that editor.
