Outliner Pro stands out in the superhive library for consolidating collection moves, color syncing, active-object centering and renaming into the Outliner itself.
Outliner Pro adds a set of tools to Blender's Outliner for organizing and visualizing objects and collections. Instead of scrolling and dragging to add objects to faraway collections, its Move to Active Collection operator sends items there directly, working with selections from both the Outliner and the viewport. By default it moves objects along with all their children, and it handles collections too, so entire hierarchies move the same way.
A companion operator creates a collection first and then moves the selected objects into it, with an ALT click opening a popup of options, including naming a new collection on creation. Alternate behaviors triggered by ALT, CTRL or Shift click let you send objects with their children, parents and siblings, or only the selected ones.
Other tools sync object colors to their collection's color across shaded and wire mode, keep the active object centered in the Outliner and viewport, match viewport visibility to the render, and rename groups of objects based on their collection's name. It's currently compatible with Blender 4.0 to 4.3.
Outliner Pro is best for blender users organizing and moving objects and collections within the Outliner.
Outliner Pro is completely free to download and use.
Outliner Pro is currently compatible with Blender versions 4.0 to 4.3, according to the developer's notes. If you're running a release in that range, its tools for moving objects and collections, syncing colors, centering the active object, matching viewport visibility to the render, and renaming by collection are all covered. For versions outside that range, or to confirm support for a newer Blender release, check the developer's page for the latest compatibility details before installing.
Outliner Pro is listed as free in this catalog. That covers the full set of Outliner tools, including moving objects and collections to the active collection, creating and moving in one step, syncing colors by collection, centering the active object, matching viewport visibility to the render, and renaming by collection. Licensing terms can change over time, so for the current details and any usage conditions, head to the developer's page where the plugin is published.
Outliner Pro changes its behavior depending on the modifier key you hold while clicking a button. Using ALT, CTRL or Shift click, you can send objects along with their children, their parents and siblings, or only the selected ones. Several operators also respond to an ALT click by opening a popup with more options, such as creating and naming a new collection on the spot. This gives you control over how much of a hierarchy moves with each action.
Outliner Pro's Move to Active Collection works with selections made in both the Outliner and the viewport, so you aren't limited to one panel. It moves entire hierarchies the same way, including collections, which in standard Blender would mean selecting each object individually. For scenes with long object lists, this reduces the scrolling needed to reach faraway collections. The Sync Active Object feature also centers objects in the viewport, not just the Outliner.
