Pataz Notes brings context-aware feedback to Blender scenes. When a note is created, the add-on captures the state of the scene, so clicking through notes can jump to the specific frame number, switch to the active camera, and restore your custom viewport angle and zoom level.
Notes can be attached directly to the scene, specific objects, materials, node trees, actions, and Video Sequence Editor strips, with the add-on dynamically detecting what you are working on and saving the note to that item. The Notes panel appears in the sidebars of the 3D Viewport, Node Editor, Dope Sheet, and Properties Editor, and the most recent scene note is shown in Blender's status bar footer for reading at a glance. Each note automatically records its creation date and the Blender version used.
Developed by PATAZ Animation for real-world production, the add-on suits animation dailies, layout blocking, or leaving to-do markers in complex scenes. The sidebar tab labelled "Notes" can be renamed via the add-on preferences. Version 5.2.2 adds support for notes on data such as mesh and armature.
