Earns its place in the Superhive library for consolidating tools, brushes, and preset brushes into a single spacebar-triggered panel that adapts to the mode you're working in.
Quick Toolbox for Blender 2.8+ brings tools, brushes, and custom preset brushes together in one panel. As you switch between Grease pencil, Object, Sculpt, Edit, Vertex paint, Weight painting, Texture, Node editor, and Video editor modes, it shows the tools specific to the mode you're in. The panel opens with a press of the spacebar and lists tools alphabetically.
The add-on can automatically add new brushes and tools as they are released in future Blender updates, removing the need to add them by hand. This auto update can be disabled from the settings. You can adjust the number of columns in the grid, the width of the window, and the width of the sidebar, and shortcuts can be changed from the settings button.
Version 2.3 adds auto updating, centers the toolbox at the cursor position, and restores settings such as toolbox width and the search bar. It also adds Grease pencil features including automerge, multiframe, and freeze at the topbar, along with bug fixes. The add-on is released under the GPL license.
Quick Toolbox For Blender 2.8+ is best for blender users who want tools, brushes, and custom preset brushes reachable from one mode-aware panel across sculpting, painting, and editing workflows.
Quick Toolbox For Blender 2.8+ is completely free to download and use.
Quick Toolbox for Blender lists support for Blender 2.8, 2.81, 2.82, 2.83, 2.9, 2.91, 2.92, 2.93, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3. That range spans the 2.8 series through the early 3.x releases, so it covers a wide window of Blender versions. If you are running a version outside that list, check the developer's page for the current compatibility details before installing.
Quick Toolbox opens with a press of the spacebar, and it lists tools alphabetically so you can find what you need. Shortcuts can be changed from the settings button if the defaults do not suit your setup. You can also adjust the number of columns in the grid, the window width, and the sidebar width from settings to match how you like the panel laid out.
Quick Toolbox can automatically add new brushes and tools as they are released in future Blender updates, and version 2.3 also adds auto updating of the add-on itself when a new update is available. If you would rather not use auto update, you can disable it in the settings. The same settings area lets you change shortcuts and adjust the toolbox width, search bar, and sidebar width.
Quick Toolbox is listed as free in this catalog, so you can add it to Blender without a purchase here. The add-on is released under the GPL license. Licensing and availability can change over time, so check the developer's page for the current terms before you download. That page is also where you will find the most up to date information on the version and supported Blender releases.
