Smart Measure earns its place in the scriptspot library by consolidating distance, angle, length, area and object measurements into one script, with automatic measuring on selection and history and clipboard handling built in.
Smart Measure is a script for 3ds Max built to replace the program's default Measure Tools. It covers common dimensions in the coordinate system: distance, total length, area, angle, and the dimensions of objects.
The script offers several measurement modes. Measure Distance reads the distance between two points or two objects. Measure Angle returns the angle created by the picked points. Measure Length gives the total length of a polyline created by the picked points. Measure Area calculates the area created by the picked points, and Measure Object reports the dimensions of the picked objects.
