Strange Attractors adds strange attractor curves inside Blender's 3D View. A strange attractor is a concept in chaos theory that describes the behaviour of chaotic systems. One famous example is the Lorenz attractor, which emerged from a mathematical experiment in weather prediction and revealed an unexpected link between weather, chaos and fractals. These attractors show properties such as points being arbitrarily far apart at different times, making their behaviour unpredictable.
This version is a fork of mtyka's Attractors, maintained by 7bitretro with corrections from Spirou4D. The code was fixed and updated to work with Blender 3.6 and above, and a TSUCS1 attractor curve was added to the list.
To create a curve, press Shift + A in the 3D View, open the Curve menu, select Strange Attractors and choose from the available list. Further settings sit in the Geometry section of the object data properties. The 2.1.0 release updated the manifest to reflect website changes. It is released under the GNU General Public License v2.0 or later and requires no special permissions.
