TimeMe earns a place in the Superhive library as a focused utility for logging project time directly inside the .blend file, with separate work, active and render categories.
TimeMe is a Blender add-on that tracks how much time work on the current project takes. It runs in the background and starts automatically when you create a new project or open an existing one, saving counted time into the current *.blend file. The add-on can be useful for freelancers and other Blender users who need to know how long a project takes.
TimeMe counts four categories of project time: all the time the project is opened, work time, active time (while the main Blender window stays active), and render time. A "To Text" button shows the current statistic in a new text window, "To Clipboard" saves the statistic to the system clipboard, and "Reset" sets the counted time back to zero.
Options include enabling autosave with TimeMe, since system autosave doesn't work while TimeMe is running, and an option to add the time of canceled renderings to the render time category. Note that closing a project without saving also loses the time statistic for the unsaved period.
Timeme is best for freelancers and Blender users who need to know how much time work on a project takes.
Timeme is completely free to download and use.
TimeMe lists support for Blender versions 2.8, 2.81, 2.82, 2.83, 2.9, 2.91 and 2.92. If you are working in one of these releases the add-on should install and run as described. For other or newer Blender versions, check the developer's page for the latest compatibility details before installing, since the listed range reflects the versions stated for this add-on.
TimeMe saves the counted time into the current *.blend file as it tracks your project in the background. Because the statistic lives in the file, note that closing a project without saving loses the time recorded for that unsaved period. To help avoid this, TimeMe includes a built-in autosave option you can enable in the add-on preferences, which is necessary because system autosave does not work while TimeMe is running.
TimeMe notes a known issue: Blender's system autosaves do not work while TimeMe is running. To solve this, the add-on provides its own built-in autosave, which you enable by checking the "Enable autosave with TimeMe" checkbox in the add-on preferences. This lets you keep automatic saving active while the time-tracking add-on runs in the background alongside your project.
TimeMe is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing terms are described as royalty free on the source listing. For current pricing and licensing details, visit the developer's page, since terms can change over time. The add-on is published by Nikita Akimov, who also handles distribution and support for it.
