Earns its place in the superhive library for combining a modular pavement system with a prop set and real-time light and VFX control through the Ur! Launcher.
Urbaniac! Streets, Roads And Highways is a modular pavement system and prop set for Blender, built as a stand-alone expansion that complements the Ur! City Asset Pack. It is in Early Access with 106 assets, including highway signs, traffic signals, traffic lights, barriers, road markings, potholes, and pavement modules for sidewalks, streets, intersections, highways, and elevated highways.
The modular pavement system works like a slot car racing track, with each module adjustable for curvature, inclination, or length. It integrates with Blender's official asset browser, so elements can be dragged and dropped into a scene, and the add-on's graphical interface adjusts assets such as module extensions or the width of sign structures.
Fully integrated with the Ur! Launcher, it adds Lights Control to change the intensity and quantity of lights across all Urbaniac! libraries in real time, with animatable values. VFX Control adds snow, wet surfaces, and animated raindrops to library surfaces in both Cycles and EEVEE.
Urbaniac! Streets, Roads And Highways is best for blender artists building urban and highway scenes with modular pavements, road props and elevated highway structures.
Urbaniac! Streets, Roads And Highways is completely free to download and use.
Urbaniac! Streets, Roads And Highways integrates with Blender's official asset browser, letting you drag and drop elements directly into your scene. The add-on's graphical interface then adjusts a portion of the assets, such as module extensions or the width of sign structures. The modular pavement system itself works like a slot car racing track, with each module adjustable for curvature, inclination, or length, covering sidewalks, streets, intersections, highways and elevated highways.
Urbaniac! Streets, Roads And Highways includes VFX Control, which adds special effects like snow, wet surfaces, and animated raindrops across the surfaces of the Urbaniac! libraries. These effects apply simultaneously and in real time, and they work in both Cycles and EEVEE. VFX Control is available from the same scene configuration panel, and the effects can be added to your materials.
Urbaniac! Streets, Roads And Highways is a stand-alone expansion that complements the Ur! City Asset Pack, so it can be used on its own or alongside it. Owners of Ur! CAP in its PRO version can access this library with a discount. It is also part of the Urbaniac! family, and the different libraries can be combined to work together in a single scene.
Urbaniac! Streets, Roads And Highways is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing and any discount options, such as the reduced price for Ur! City Asset Pack PRO owners, can change over time, so check the developer's page for current terms. The library is currently in Early Access with 106 assets, and the developer plans to add more modules in the future. A demo video is available, and documentation is included with the add-on.
