Weight Shaper is a Blender addon for weight painting and refining character deformations. It lets you make precise vertex adjustments to a posed character and then automatically generates the weight paint to support those adjustments.
The workflow runs in three steps. First, position your character or object into the pose that needs work. Next, move vertices to refine the pose. Finally, run Optimize Weights, and the addon generates the weight paint for your adjustments. You control which bones drive the result by adding them to the Influencing Bones list, and any bone on that list is included in the optimization. After optimization, weights are normalized so they don't exceed a total of 1.
For finer control, advanced settings cover Learning Rate, Convergence Threshold, and Iterations, all explained on the documentation page. The latest update lets you add multiple bones to the Influencing Bones list at once in Weight Paint mode, fixes a shape key error on non-English Blender versions, and adds a completion notification with processing time to Optimize Weights.
