Earns its place in the blender_extensions library for adding batch rename coverage to modifiers, constraints and vertex groups. The 1.1.1 update added a separator on the right-click menu, an Exact Match setting for Find & Replace, and an entry on the Edit Mode right-click menu.
Additional Batch Rename extends Blender with extra batch rename operators, covering modifiers, constraints and vertex groups. The add-on ships with eleven settings that control what gets renamed and how.
An Operator setting switches between the different batch renaming operators. You can target objects only or bones only; when the target is set to bones, it automatically switches to constraints, since armatures don't contain modifiers. Scope options let you rename only the selected objects or all objects in the scene, and with bones set, all bones on the active armature. Renaming methods include Find & Replace, an Exact Match toggle that limits matches to exact strings, plus Prefix and Suffix options that add the new name to the beginning or end of the old one.
The tools appear on the viewport right-click menu in Object, Edit, and Pose Mode. Additional Batch Rename is compatible with Blender 4.4 and newer and is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
Additional Batch Rename is best for blender users renaming modifiers, constraints, vertex groups, objects or bones in batches.
Additional Batch Rename is completely free to download and use.
Additional Batch Rename is compatible with Blender 4.4 and newer, so it runs on 4.4 and any later release. The batch rename operators appear on the viewport right-click menu in Object, Edit, and Pose Mode, giving access across the modes where you would rename objects, modifiers, constraints, vertex groups or bones. The add-on does not require special permissions. For the latest compatibility details, check the developer's page.
Additional Batch Rename appears when you right-click in the viewport while in Object, Edit, or Pose Mode, where you will find its entry on the menu. From there you pick an operator and set the target, either objects only or bones only, then choose whether to rename the selected items or all of them. Renaming methods include Find & Replace, Prefix and Suffix. As of version 1.1.1 the add-on also shows up on the Edit Mode right-click menu.
Additional Batch Rename is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, a copyleft open-source license. It is listed as free here in the catalog, and the add-on does not require special permissions when installed in Blender. You can report issues through the developer's GitHub repository. For the current licensing terms and any updates, check the developer's page.
Additional Batch Rename can target bones only, and when the target is set to bones it automatically switches to constraints, because armatures don't contain modifiers. With bones set, the All option renames every bone on the active armature, while Selected limits renaming to the selected items. This works alongside object renaming, and the operators for modifiers, constraints and vertex groups round out what the add-on covers. The bone tools are available from the Pose Mode right-click menu.
