Color Picker is a Blender addon aimed at painting workflows, covering texture paint (particularly hand-painting), the skinning process through weight paint, and vertex paint. It provides three picker types — SV, SV+H and HS — along with HSV and RGB graphic sliders, a color preview, and recent colors.
The SV pickers include a slicing feature: using the marked gizmos, you can slice the picker so it crops to the rectangular area you define within the cuts. For weight painting, the addon adds a visual widget that controls the weight value directly. Settings live in the addon preferences and also appear contextually in the 3D viewport's sidebar under the Paint tab, letting you set widget size per mode, picker type, keymaps, DPI for text, and whether widgets close when a hot-key is released.
Developed over Blender 2.90 and listed for Blender 4.1, 4.0 and 3.3, it's distributed under the GPL license by jfmatheu. Mac users should note a warning about incompatibility with Apple Silicon and Metal-based hardware. A demo video is available.
