ConjureSDF earns its place in the superhive library for its SDF-driven, non-destructive approach to booleans and blending. Keep in mind it's a Public Alpha, so the developer notes to expect missing features, bugs and crashes.
ConjureSDF is a modeling addon for Blender built around signed distance fields. You assemble geometry from 12 non-destructive SDF primitives such as Box, Sphere and Cylinder, then combine them with four Boolean operations (Union, Subtract, Difference and Intersect) and four blending modes (None, Smooth, Chamfered and Inverted Round). Primitives can be nested to build more complex shapes from simpler ones.
A custom raymarched SDF rendering engine called Conjure Vision handles the view of your work, and scene management tools let you reorder and (un)nest primitives. When you need polygons, SDF to Mesh conversion produces a dense voxel output, and per-primitive modifiers add world mirror, solidify and rounding.
This is the Public Alpha, running on Windows and Linux. Version 0.2.3 targets Blender 3.3.x with reduced support for 3.6, while an experimental v0.3.x line extends to Blender 4.5, 5.0 and 5.1 plus macOS, though not yet at feature parity. SDF rendering and meshing is intensive, so 16GB of RAM and a GTX 1070 or RTX 2060 are recommended. As an Alpha, expect missing features, bugs and crashes.
Conjuresdf For Blender 3.3 - Public Alpha (Windows/Linux) is best for blender artists doing non-destructive, SDF-based hard-surface modeling on Windows or Linux who are comfortable working with Alpha software.
Conjuresdf For Blender 3.3 - Public Alpha (Windows/Linux) is completely free to download and use.
ConjureSDF v0.2.3 targets Blender 3.3.x, with reduced support noted for 3.6. An experimental set of releases under v0.3.x extends support to Blender 4.5, 5.0 and 5.1, though these are not yet at feature parity with v0.2.3 and are planned to eventually replace it. If you're on a 3.3 build, the main release is the one to use; on newer Blender versions, check the developer's page to confirm whether the experimental line covers what you need.
ConjureSDF in its v0.2.3 form runs only on Windows and Linux, and macOS is not supported by that version. macOS support arrives through the experimental v0.3.x releases, which also add Blender 4.5, 5.0 and 5.1, but those are not yet at feature parity with v0.2.3. If you work on a Mac, the experimental line is currently your only route, so review its current state on the developer's page before relying on it for production work.
ConjureSDF handles SDF rendering and meshing, which the developer describes as very intensive. A machine with 16GB of RAM and a GTX 1070 or RTX 2060 (or an equivalent GPU) is recommended. Because the tool is in an Alpha state, you should also expect missing features, bugs and crashes. If your system sits below the recommended specs, performance during rendering and mesh conversion may suffer, so factor that in before installing it.
ConjureSDF is listed as free in this catalog and is distributed under the GPL license. Licensing terms and availability can change over time, so check the developer's page for the current details before you download it. The product is described as being in an Alpha state, meaning missing features, bugs and crashes are expected, so it's worth researching the tool properly before you commit to using it on a project.
ConjureSDF, according to the developer, entitles owners to updates, technical support and access to a private Discord server. The Public Alpha is planned to receive updates at least through the end of 2025. Since it's an Alpha release, the developer advises expecting missing features, bugs and crashes, and researching the product before committing. For the latest on what's included and the current update roadmap, the developer's page is the best reference to check.
