BlockSurfaces focuses on the early blocking stage of character and creature creation in Blender. Rather than placing disconnected primitives, it builds connected forms that read as bodies, limbs, horns, tails, tentacles, armor-like shapes and stylized proportions, so you can explore silhouette and structure before committing to detailed sculpting.
You can move, rotate, scale, edit and sculpt forms directly from branches, and position objects along curves to create horns, tentacles, tails or repeated design elements. BlockMuscles turn branches into forms that simulate stretching, contraction and anatomical structure during blocking. Poses can be tested without setting up a traditional rig, and when a design is ready, you can generate a sculpt-ready mesh, or specific parts of it, to continue in Blender sculpting, retopology or ZBrush.
It is aimed at character artists, creature artists, stylized character designers, game artists and 3D concept artists, and is described as useful for both beginners and professionals iterating proportions and poses. Tutorials and timelapses are available on the AitTools YouTube channel.
