Strip Array earns its place in the blender_extensions library for automating repetitive strip duplication in the VSE, pairing offset and channel controls with randomization and a strip counter. Version 1.1.0 brought enhanced functionality.
Strip Array is an add-on for Blender's Video Sequence Editor (VSE) that creates arrays of duplicated strips with customizable options. It works with video, image, sound, and effect strips, and lives under the Sequencer > Tool tab.
Duplication can specify the number of duplicates along with frame or time-based offsets and channel adjustments. Incremental offsets can be applied by frame count or time, and channel placement can be adjusted to avoid overlap. Randomization options add random frame offsets to each duplicate and apply random color tags for organizing and differentiating strips.
A strip counter displays the total number of strips and the number of selected strips in the VSE. The add-on is compatible with Blender 4.5 LTS and newer, and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
