Theme Dictionary earns its place in the Blender Extensions library for reworking theme recoloring into a color-driven lookup, letting you sample a UI color and edit matching entries from a focused list.
Theme Dictionary is a theme recolor tool for Blender built for artists, UI designers, and anyone who customizes Blender themes frequently. It turns Blender's theme settings into a more visual workflow: sample a UI color with an eyedropper, search theme entries by similar color, refine the result range with tolerance, and jump to relevant items more quickly.
Rather than browsing through many nested theme categories, you get a filtered list of relevant options that can be inspected and edited from one place. An eyedropper picks a color directly from Blender's interface and retrieves theme entries that match or closely resemble it, with a tolerance value to control how strict the search is. Modified items are collected into a history-style list so you can revisit what you changed, and a bottom search box finds related entries by name in both Chinese and English.
The add-on includes Chinese translation support for use in Blender's Chinese interface. It is made by 61+ and Witty.Ming, and is compatible with Blender 5.0 and newer.

Theme Dictionary is compatible with Blender 5.0 and newer. If you are running an earlier version of Blender, the add-on lists 5.0.0 as its minimum, so you would need to update Blender before installing it. The current release is version 0.6.4, published in May 2026. Check the developer's GitHub releases page for the latest packaged file and any changes to the compatibility range.
Theme Dictionary can be installed from Blender Extensions by opening Blender, going to Edit → Preferences → Get Extensions, searching for Theme Dictionary, then installing and enabling it. Alternatively, you can install from a GitHub release: open the latest release page, download the packaged extension file, then in Blender go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons, click Install from Disk, select the downloaded file, and enable it. It also supports drag and drop into Blender.
Theme Dictionary includes a character search box at the bottom that finds related entries by name, and it supports both Chinese and English search terms. The add-on also ships with Chinese translation files for a friendlier experience in Blender's Chinese interface. These translation files and the bilingual search were added in version 0.6.4, so make sure you are running that release to use them.
Theme Dictionary is listed as free in this catalog and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. The extension does not require special permissions.
