Third Person Kit is a Blender add-on from rileyb3d that turns the app into a playable third-person rig. Playable controls cover walk, sprint, crouch, jump and idle, and you can add an additional animation of your choosing, such as interact. Movement uses WASD to move, Shift to sprint, Ctrl to crouch or slow-walk, Space to jump, and hold right mouse to rotate the camera. Gamepad support is also available.
An over-the-shoulder third-person follow cam handles framing, with optional camera collision, scroll-wheel zoom, and a free look mode toggled with the Tab key. Motion recording captures live movement to keyframes, including camera movement. Collisions work out of the box, and you can disable specific collections.
Animations are plug-and-play: drop your own clips or Mixamo imports into action slots, then tweak blend times, animation offset, speeds and gravity. The Mixamo route runs by exporting your character FBX, grabbing moves from Mixamo, importing back, and assigning clips. It suits cinematics and previs, blocking gameplay, animation tests and reels, and rapid prototyping inside Blender.
