Enhanced Top Bar earns its place in the Blender Extensions library for a focused job: surfacing View Layer visibility settings in the Top Bar and flagging non-standard settings before you hit render.
Enhanced Top Bar is a Blender add-on from 1P2D that puts View Layer visibility controls directly in the Top Bar. It gives easy access to your View Layers rendering properties, and includes a warning box designed to help prevent rendering (F12) with incorrect View Layer settings.
The add-on offers a couple of display options. Red Alert Mode applies an eye-catching red color when non-standard settings are in use, while Minimalist Mode uses icons instead of checkboxes for a cleaner look. Note that the red warning style has a visual glitch in Blender versions before 4.5.
Version 1.0.4 was updated for Blender 5 and later and adds an option to disable the warning icon. Enhanced Top Bar is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer, requires no special permissions, and is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. Issues can be reported through the developer's Discord.
Enhanced Top Bar is best for blender users who juggle multiple View Layers and want a Top Bar shortcut plus a warning against rendering with the wrong View Layer settings.
