Mirror Selected Bones mirrors the weight paint data of bones and their corresponding vertex groups to the other side. It helps when you have a symmetrical model and forgot to paint your weights with the x-Mirror option, letting you project your working status to the pose bone on the other half of the object.
To use it, your character has to be skinned to the armature first. When you then make changes to the weight paint of your model, you can copy that to the bones on the other side. You'll find the installed add-on in weight paint mode of your object, and it works with one or more bones.
Distributed under the GPL license, the add-on lists compatibility across a wide span of Blender releases, from 2.8 through 3.5. Documentation is included, and a demo video is available.
